Directed by Louis Leterrier, the 10th installment in the Fast & Furious franchise boasts a strong cast aside from main man Vin Diesel. Like almost all F&F films, initial reviews suggest a mixed response from critics, but the least we can say is that it won’t stop fans from flocking to theaters and c is exactly what is happening.
On Wednesday, Fast X was released in China and Korea. Given the uncertainty of the post-Covid era, the film put on an impressive sight despite arriving on a weekday. According to Deadline’s report, the action artist won $18.4 million of the two foreign markets. From this, an esteemed collection of $17.4 million came from China.
Fast X will release it today and tomorrow in other territories like US and Canada, India and others. It will be interesting to see how much the film brings in its opening weekend once all territories are open.
Meanwhile, Vin Diesel has revealed he gave his son the Toretto Garage car on his son’s birthday. He also shared that Fast X is all about “family”.
Speaking about the evolution of the F&F franchise, the actor told IANS: “By blood or by bond, family is family. In the early years of this franchise, we explored the concept of brotherhood, cherishing and celebrating family. Then, as the mythology continued and naturally evolved, we were going to end up talking about fatherhood, and in Fast X you will see the representation of parenthood, where survival is paramount. It is something that all fathers and mothers in the world can identify with.
