I am a celebrity… South Africa explained Janice Dickinson’s exit, with the former model leaving camp in tonight’s episode (May 8).

It had been known for a while that Janice would be leaving the South African jungle after suffering an injury, but the news was passed on to camp via a note, which Helen Flanagan read.

“Dear beloved camp mates. Never in my life have I had such an amazing experience with all of you animals,” the note read.

“You are new best friends and the loves of my life, and I will miss you until I see you again. Hugs to you all – love and miss you. Love Janice. PS Joe [Swash] – I am still p ***** to you and I will never get over it. Joke – all the love.

All the stars said they would miss Janice, with campmates noting her energy and humor in camp.

After her exit, Janice said, “I could have been second or even won that series because I was so consistent and physiological with it.

“I was just waiting and biding my time with all of this. I did my fair share of getting up, falling down. I got my face in the dirt.

“I felt like they could have cleaned up my wounds and got me back on my way there. But the production finally made the right decision not to fire me.

“I’m just sad it ended this way. I think I could have gone back and gone further,” she added.

Janice wasn’t the only celeb to step out of the jungle on tonight’s episode, with Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo and Andy Whyment sent packing after losing the court case to Myleene Klass and Jordan Banjo.
