I am a celebrity… South Africa spoilers follow.
Ancient I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! Star Kerry Katona has revealed why she turned down the opportunity to return to the jungle for the South Africa series.
Katona won the third series of the ITV show in 2004, but decided not to take part in the current All-Stars spin-off, which features icons from the show’s past.
In fact, she doesn’t even watch the show at all.

“I’m not looking I am a celebrity… South Africa because I’m too busy to watch TV by the minute,” she wrote in her column for New! (via The sun). “ITV asked me to be on it. I was already committed to another TV show, but I also don’t think the experience is something that can be relived.
The cast of the All-Stars series includes Phil Tufnell, Janice Dickinson, Helen Flanagan and Amir Khan, the latter admitting he didn’t know many of his fellow campers’ names until he came out on the May 2 episode.
“To be honest with you, I didn’t really know anyone in the camp when I entered. I’m really bad,” he said. “The only people I knew there were [Georgia] ‘Dandy’ [Toffolo] and Carol Vorderman.

“I’m also very bad with names, I always get the name wrong but people made a little joke out of it and laughed about it,” he added. “Luckily they all had their names on the back of their t-shirts, so sometimes I would peek behind their backs because I couldn’t remember their names.”
Khan became the third celebrity to be kicked out of the South African jungle after Shaun Ryder and Gillian McKeith, who were sent off in a double elimination last week.
I am a celebrity… South Africa airs Monday-Friday at 9pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
