Jamie Foxx and daughter Corinne Foxx have announced plans to host a new game show – just days after the actress confirmed her father was discharged from hospital.
“We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment,” Jamie and Corinne said in a statement Monday.
“We hope this show brings as much enjoyment to audiences at home as we had creating it when it premiered next year.”
The new series – slated to premiere in 2024 – will feature non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their famous family member, who is in hiding.

The father-daughter duo have previously worked together to host musical game show “Beat Shazam” for the past five seasons.
However, Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne temporarily took over earlier this month amid Jamie’s ongoing health issues.
The “Day Shift” actor, 55, was hospitalized on April 11 with an unspecified “medical complication.”
“Luckily, thanks to quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery,” Corinne explained at the time.
Almost a month later, Corinne, 29, revealed that her father “has been out of the hospital for weeks, recovering,” via her Instagram Story on May 12.
“He was actually playing pickleball yesterday,” she added while thanking her fans and followers for their “prayers and support.”
The “Ray” star has kept pretty tight-lipped about the ordeal, but he took to Instagram on May 3 to share his gratitude to his fans.
“Appreciate all the love!!! I feel blessed,” he wrote.
