Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan saw good growth over the weekend after a weak first day. After 3 days, the Salman Khan standout, led by Farhad Samji and co-starred by Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh Daggubati among others, has raised around Rs 62.50 crores and that’s a good number that seemed a little unachievable after the first day. Salman Khan was able to prove once again that he is capable of drawing crowds regardless of the film’s content and now it’s weekdays turn to help the film reach a reasonable final total. Weekday collections will be very critical for the film to reach decent levels
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has a respectable weekend after a slow start
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan collected around Rs 13.50 crore nett on the first day. Then the film saw a rise on consecutive days, courtesy of Eid, as it collected around Rs 24 crore and Rs 25 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively, to wrap up a weekend of around Rs 62, 50 crore net. This is the second highest weekend total of the year after Pathaan and it’s a decent result. A starring Salman Khan would ideally target a net opener of Rs 100 crore but given the circumstances, a total of over Rs 60 crore in 3 days is quite acceptable. Although the film was a Solo Eid release, it had some shortcomings, following which it could roughly rack up over Rs 60 crore nett.
It is very important that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan hold the days of the week
A few sectors in the country will see Eid profits while metros are expected to see a significant drop on Monday. A 60% hold from Friday will be good and help the film last longer, but a drop of more than 40% will mean it will struggle in the days ahead. A 60% hold is essential as the opening day was considerably weak by the standards set by the actor. If the opening was higher, a 50% hold would even suffice, but the opening in the case of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan was among the lowest for the actor on Eid.
Take a look at the daily collections of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Day 1 – Rs 13.50 cr
Day 3 – Rs 24 cr
Day 3 – Rs 25 cr
Total = 62.50 cr net in 3 days.
Salman Khan’s next release after Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Is Tiger 3
Salman Khan after Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be seen in Tiger 3. Tiger 3 is a highly anticipated movie and it will drive the spy universe forward. Movies to follow in the YRF Spy universe after Tiger 3 are War 2 and Tiger Vs Pathaan. Tiger Vs Pathaan will reunite Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen, in full-fledged appearances, after Karan Arjun.
