Tom Cruise’s relentless attempts to break bones by jumping off cliffs and continuously running in style to save the day make Impossible mission the biggest action franchise in the world. The films in the series have constantly reinvented themselves and upped the ante with each installment while retaining standout moments such as face masks to fool bad guys or uncover spies within the organization.
Impossible mission each time proposed a new mission in front of Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), but he always emerged victorious, despite the fact that he had to risk everything. The seventh entry in the long-running franchise, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, has released its second and final trailer, which features plenty of footage to keep fans guessing what to expect in the highly anticipated movie. With that being said, here is a full and detailed breakdown of the movie’s trailer for better understanding.
The past haunts you
The trailer begins with Ethan Hunt cycling through a green forest at incredible speeds, as if trying to catch up to something or maybe someone, then stopping right at the edge of a massive cliff. . Then we hear Kittridge’s voice say, “Our lives are the sum of our choices. And we can’t escape the past.”
The first time Ethan and Kittridge (Henry Czerny) met was in 1996, when the first Impossible mission the film was released. In the film, Kittridge suspected Ethan of being the IMF mole, and although his name was cleared by the conclusion, Kittridge disappeared from the franchise altogether.
In the trailer, we see Ethan coming out of a tunnel and a woman we don’t know being shot. Shortly after, Kittridge again warns Ethan about his mission, saying, “Ethan, your mission is going to cost you dearly”, meaning that he will not only put himself in danger by getting involved with the wrong people, but that he could also lose a loved one.
The war is coming
The trailer then shows Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson) with an eyepatch holding a sniper rifle in the desert, declaring, “The world is changing, the truth is disappearing and war is coming”, to which the following scenes provide answers. . As usual, the first footage shows someone breaching a highly secure facility, followed by an underwater battle in which a submarine is blown to bits.
As per the trailer, Ilsa and Ethan are on a risky mission in the desert, with the latter riding a horse while carrying a cocked gun over his shoulder.
Soon after, Ethan meets the Big Bad, played by Esai Morales, a completely unknown character who brags about his power and what he can do to anyone who opposes him.
However, based on his comments, “It’s been a long time, my friend”, it could be an IMF agent who turned against them or an old enemy of Ethan, who we will most likely see in the Dead Reckoning. Then we return to Kittridge, who warns Ethan that the world is coming after him and whatever criminal organization he is dealing with has decided to assassinate him by any means possible.
Ethan’s resolve to save his team and the world
As we touch on the possibility of a flashback in the film, the next scene almost makes it possible as it shows Ilsa affectionately kissing Ethan. It could be a flashback or the end of Dead Reckoning part onewhich would provide a satisfying finale before we go all out Second part.
In response to the previous event in which the main antagonist (Esai Morales) threatens Ethan, he says, “If anything happens to them, there’s no place I won’t go kill you,” meaning that this time the agents will be threatened. not only for the purpose of the mission, but also for the sake of their bond.
Just when we feel, “Wait, is this really Impossible missionWith no stunts and overpowering action scenes, which is why audiences love the franchise, Ethan Hunt does the most dangerous thing ever by jumping off a cliff as high as snow-capped mountains. , maybe to save someone.clip, when Benji and Luther ask him, “What is your goal?”, he replies, “Your lives always mean more to me than mine.”
The rest of the footage in the trailer features action-packed car chases in which enemies pursue Ethan and even confront the film’s main antagonist on a moving train. The trailer ends with the iconic Impossible mission theme, which includes adrenaline-pumping knife fights, fleeing surrounded enemies by throwing smoke grenades, and typical Tom Cruise exploits he’s not sure he’ll try at home.
