White Men Can’t Jump 2023: Cast, release date, trailer for Jack Harlow-directed remake of ’90s film

One of the most iconic sports films of the 90s comes back to life with the remake of White Men Can’t Jump, starring rapper Jack Harlow.

The original 1992 cult classic which starred Wesley Snipes, Woody Harrelson and Rosie Perez will see Harlow take on the role of Harrelson, while Sinqua Walls will take on the mantle of Snipes.

Stepping away from the mic and into the camera, White Men Can’t Jump is Harlow’s first acting role and the Louisville native says he’s keen to make it the first of many big-screen roles.

“It felt good!” the rapper told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. “It makes me hungry, I want more. I want to keep going, you know? This is just a taste, and it was great, but I’m excited to keep going.

Harlow is a huge basketball fan and can often be seen on the court at NBA games, even showcasing his hardwood skills at the 2022 All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game in Cleveland, while Walls has a strong basketball background himself, playing college ball at the University of San Francisco.

Based on a script by Doug Hall and ‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris, the remake of White Men Can’t Jump has been in the works since 2017, with Boston Celtics forward Blake Griffin serving as the film’s executive producer. , alongside former NFL player Ryan Kalil.
