The hunt is over for the first look at Kraven the hunter. Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for the Spider Man Universe spin-off at the studio’s presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Monday night, revealing High-speed train‘s Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the world’s greatest hunter: Sergei Kravinoff. comics was there for the exclusive preview of the next chapter of SSU, in theaters October 6, joining Sony’s Marvel Comics adaptations network Venom, Venom: let there be carnage, Morbiusand 2024 releases El Muerto And Madame Web. “Next up is Kraven the Hunter. Aaron Taylor-Johnson sends a video message. “Even from afar, I still have the privilege of presenting the very first Kraven the Hunter footage shown anywhere,” Johnson said. “A Marvel movie with strong roots in the real world… It’s a fierce hunter. It’s a gory game, loaded with a few F-bombs. The Rhino is the villain of the movie, with a tease showing off a man’s arm transforming into the character. The trailer will be released this summer.”
JC Chandor (A year of the most violent, triple border) is directing the film written by Richard Wenk (Equalizer 3) and duo Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Marvel Studios’ Iron Mansony Unexplored), based on the Marvel character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1964 amazing spider man #15.
With Taylor-Johnson, the Kraven the cast includes Oscar-winning actress Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) as the spellbinding priestess Calypso and Fred Hechinger (The White Lotus) as Dmitri Smerdyakov, Sergei’s half-brother and a master of disguise known as Chameleon. Rounding out the cast, Christopher Abbott (A most violent year), Alessandro Nivola (boston strangler), Levi Miller (A shortcut in time) and Oscar for Best Actor Russell Crowe (Gladiator).
In the comics, Kraven is a master hunter obsessed with defeating his nemesis, the spider – the crawling superhero Spider-Man – pursuing his prey with herbal potions that grant him strength, superhuman speed and stamina. Taylor-Johnson described his Kraven as a “protector of the natural world” and a “conservator”.
“He’s a hunter and of this hunting world and there are so many aspects [to him]. What I love about this character is that he has flaws,” the actor said. comics. “Kraven is a beautiful character. Sergei Kravinov is a beautiful character because he’s someone who really understands himself and has flaws. He’s a character that was built centuries ago and it’s in a new era, but yeah, is he going to be the hunter we all want to see? Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
