Taylor Lautner Says He ‘Wouldn’t Object’ To Being Involved In ‘Twilight’ TV Show

Taylor Lautner says he found out about the “Twilight” TV show news with everyone.

“I literally got the same alert on my phone,” Lautner told TODAY.com. “Certainly received a few texts after that.”

When asked if he was involved with the show, he immediately said no and laughed, but then looked up and said he “wouldn’t object”.

“I don’t know what they have planned. Literally, I don’t have more knowledge than anyone, so I don’t know if they’re going to try to split up and keep someone from the original, or if they want to start all over again with a new cast.”

Lautner, who played Jacob Black in film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire series in the late 2000s and early 2010s, adds that he’s not worried about revisiting that period of his life, if the series had to come out eventually.

“Maybe if you had asked me that question five years ago, I might still have said, ‘Ehh,'” he says. “But I feel like now I’m in such a healthy place and there’s been enough time that I have nothing but fond memories of it and I’m incredibly grateful for that.”

Lautner, 31, got married last year. He and his wife — who also goes by the name Taylor Lautner, although her name is Tay — co-host a podcast, “The Squeeze.”

Tay Lautner, a self-proclaimed “Twihard,” was on Team Edward before she met her future husband.

“At some point, I think she just told me she was on the other side, but (it was) back then,” Taylor Lautner previously told TODAY.com in an interview. “It was fine with me as long as I was converting her now.”

When asked to rank the five movies, Tay Lautner says she needs time to think about it. “I’m curious what your response will be,” Taylor Lautner tells his wife, “because I go back and forth depending on my mood.”

“Last time, didn’t we say Eclipse was our favorite? asks Tay Lautner. “I would say, probably, ‘Twilight’ is the last one.”

Her husband replies, “Wow, that’s an unpopular answer.”

She says it’s because she doesn’t like to know a character – she likes to “know them already”.

“Is there too much learning in the first one? he asks with a smirk, before delving into his ranking.

“I always say – not always, sometimes I change my mind – most of the time ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ is my favorite,” he says. “‘Eclipse’ when you want action and fun, but a bit darker too. And of course, ‘New Moon’ holds a special place in my heart.”

“That’s my least favorite,” Lautner’s wife replies with a straight face — an obvious burn since it’s the film that focuses the most on Jacob’s wolf pack. “Just kidding,” she said, causing her husband to burst out laughing.
