First of all, congratulations to everyone, including the director and the producer, for taking on such a great initiative with such a small budget.
To bring people to see Ponniyin Selvan, which was made in millions of rupees, the film team is promoting from town to town, and this film titled Yathisai is attracting attention by saying that we too can make a royal film with a minimum budget.
The movie Yathisai created a kind of anticipation among the masses. Kodhi, who belongs to the Einar clan, travels with the sole purpose of killing King Pandiya Ranadheeran, who has made the land tremble with fear, and capturing the fort.
His people, who believe in his resolve, stand by his side at some point and directly confront the king with his army. With casualties on both sides, King Pandiya rushes to see their numbers.
King Pandiya, who has a race of great schools, with his army intends to capture the fort before the fort falls into Kodhi’s hands. “Has the fort fallen into his hands? is the crux of the story.
The film’s great strength is in the locations director Dharani Rajendran chooses to bring the world he envisioned to reality on screen. Although the scenes reflect a certain realism, the dominant emotion of the film is aggressiveness and seething anger.
The songs didn’t get much attention. Infographics are poor. The background music fails to emphasize the grandeur the story needs. Even if all of these are seen as flaws in the film, for having taken on such a new initiative, we can put these flaws aside and trust Yathisai.
Yaathisai continues to dominate the box office collection among all Tamil films released in the past week. The film takes on Yogi Babu’s Yaanai Mugathaan and Vemal’s Deiva Machan released on the same day. It’s not an easy task for a periodic film made on a minimum budget to earn more than typical commercial comedy films.
Director Dharani Rajendran has shared an official statement on Yaathisai’s box office success. It reads: “Happy to announce that Yaathisai has become a box office success and a critically acclaimed film.” Considering the grand release of Ponniyin Selvan 2, today is considered the last day of Yaathisai’s hit shows. I hope the film will generate more profits in OTT and satellite rights.
